How Quant.Fun Makes Money
The Quant.Fun platform aims to democratize access to performant, actively managed investment products through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. In exchange for providing this service, our platform makes money in two ways: Management Fees and Performance Fees.
Management Fees
Management fees are collected as a percentage of total assets managed for a given vault product.
Example: User A deposits $100 in Vault A earning 6% APY with a 1% management fee. After one year, User A will have earned $5 in equity and have paid $1 in management fees.
Performance Fees
Performance fees are collected as a percentage of profits earned by a given investment product.
Example: User A deposits $100 in Vault A with a 30% performance fee. After 1 year, Vault A has returned 100% gross - $100 for User A. User A will have earned $70 in net equity and paid $30 in performance fees.
General Fee Structures
As of writing, all Quant.Fun vaults follow a fee structure of:
Directional Vaults: 0% Management Fee, 30% Performance Fee
Growth Vaults: 1% Management Fee, 0% Performance Fee
